I.D.E.A.S. Art Club
Meetings are Tuesdays from 1pm-2pm in Room 131 in the art dept. (The 3d Design room, across from Sculpture, next to Jewelry.)
The school has set aside this time for people to get together so they can meet at clubs, such as this one. It has become known as the "Magic Hour."
Students use this hour to get involved in something they believe in, and we choose art.

2pm Meeting Ends
September 13-16 2010 CLUB RUSH
September 7th 2010

This was our first meeting of the semester. New officers were elected, events were planned, food was eaten. Stay tuned for more details, coming soon!

On Tues. 9/7 Wesley Pacleb introduced himself as the IDEAS Club President and the basic elements of the club (art exploration and self-recognition -- paraphrased). Last meeting we had officer nominees and elections for the following: Secretary (me- Dior Helwig), Historian (Tima Peck, Jose Gonzalez, and Veronica Marshall), and Correspondents (which was decided that everyone can actively participate). There was also a briefing on various events happening across LA. These included the LA Art Walk (Thurs. 9/9), the Pomona Art Walk (Sat. 9/11), Gerome exhibit at the Getty (ended Sun. 9/12), Gorky exhibit at the MOCA (ended 9/20), and the LACMA (ongoing). These events were discussed at the meeting alongside with field trip excursions and any available transportation (carpool) for transit. Club Rush was also mentioned with a Sign-Up Sheet for attendance for Mon-Thurs (9/13-9/16) between 9am-2pm. One of the tables in the back of the room was used for trading and bartering art supplies brought by members of the club, though much was                re-confiscated by its original owner. The meeting ended.
